Does my insurance cover the cost of home care in Austin?

Many home care services are not covered by Medicare or private insurance, but can be provided to you through private pay or long term care insurance coverage.  We are skilled in understanding what long-term policies do cover and will gladly review your policy with you.  Most long-term care policies require that you need help (either standby or hands on) with two activities of daily living.

Additionally, certain VA benefits and workers’ compensation packages cover non-medical home care service for Austin residents.

Is home care service just for seniors?

It’s a misconception that home care service is only for seniors. In fact, the clients we serve must only be eighteen years or older to receive home care. Of course, senior citizens are the greater portion of our clients, but many people who need assistance get home care service at any age for themselves, their parents, or their grandparents. It all depends on your needs, injury, illness, disability, and any number of other circumstances that may require home care service.

Do Home Companies Need to Be Licensed?

Yes. Stellar Senior Care is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability (DADS) to provide home care in Austin and the surrounding area.
